Sport

We do heaps of sports at our school. We have a man who comes teach us some soccer skills. Last week Leimanu accidentally tripped me up. I scored a goal just as I fell. I scored 3 more goals. It was exciting and very very windy. I nearly flew away in it.We play at lunch times for fun. Some children come down after school to play more soccer. We all love soccer at this school and we also play hockey. We might be playing summer hockey. We do running. we do as many laps as we can in 15 minutes. Some people can do 8 laps. We have a chart that every time we do running or jump jam we mark it.
This Term we have been doing Drama about Lester and Clyde. We had to act and use facial expressions.

Lester and Clyde are two frogs that are always annoying each other. Lester is always annoying Clyde and playing with him, Clyde sends Lester away and Lester is disgusted at what the humans have done to the ponds. He comes back home and tells Clyde about it and what he saw.

Spot the lamb

Well a few days ago one of our teachers brought her baby lamb to school. It was very small. It was one day old and the lamb was a girl. We got to feed her.She was called Spot because she had one spot on her foot.

By Haikal and Keaton.

This term we have been doing drama about Lester and Clyde. The things we used were facial expresons, body movement, and mime. We even did a play. It was about Lester and Clyde getting rid of the humans polluting the ponds.

Spiders

We made spiders and we were going to scare Mrs Laban with them but she didn't get scared.
We hung them up from the roof with string.

Sports Report by Paris

We are first in the ninth grade table for football and my brother has scored 41 goals. Tom has s cored 18. I have scored 6. The last goal scored was with my left foot. We have only lost 1 game but that was to a 10th grade team. Our Dad says when we play them again we will beat them because we didn't have Connor L in goal we had another boy in goal but he is normally a mid-fielder. He's one of our best players though.

After that we have a BBQ and parents can take their chidren home. People came dressed up as lots of different things you can see them in the photos.

This Week

This week, we are having a fancy dress up day,and a BBQ. I dressed up as PJ MAN! Everyone thought my costume was funny.

And we also made maori cloaks. And we had to use rubbings with pastels. Then we had to dye the pieces of paper in different colours. And we ripped the paper up and stuck them on. And the last thing we did was put the string thing on top.IT WAS AWESOME!!!

Cloaks

We made cloaks. Haikal and I are in different groups so we had different cloaks and colours. Daniel had a koru in the middle of it and Haikal had a diamond in the middle of it. We ended up with a really big cloak. It took us four days.

Jump Jam

Every day we do Jump Jam in the school library. It is heaps of fun. We do five different songs called witch doctor, morning, candy man,who let the dogs out and a Maori one. Each one has heaps of different moves. On the second of July we are performing for our parents and we will be dressed up in different clothes so we will look cool.

The Enormous Crocodile

The room 1's made an enormous crocodile. It was green and slimy with pieces of green tissue-paper all over it. I liked it and so did all the other students in room 4. It is up on the library wall which I think is really cool. It looks awesome in the library.

Newspaper Bridges

Today we built bridges out of newspaper. It was hard to put it up because the paper was to weak. No bridges stood up by themselves, neither did mine. I worked in a group with Jade,Cait and Myself. My friend Daniel worked in a group with Dylan, Alice, Billie And Himself.
