We had book fair on Friday with lots of books & a BBQ! It was coming up to the Easter holidays.
Everyone had fun at  assembly. The Southern Steel   netball people came &  told us about their hero.
There was a special rugby award for Lewis. There  were free mini easter eggs for all.
We are learning about the key competencies. They are relating to others, using language symbols and text, managing self and participating and contributing and thinking. We have been learning what these competencies mean.
There is  one key that we have not opened yet.We have looked at  thinking, managing  your
self, participating and contributing and using language, symbols and text. We love doing it at school When we are learning what they are about, it is very fun.

Today it was walk "n wheels. and we got to have breakfeast at school like we normally do. Then some people came and made some awesome ramps on the court.  We tried very hard not to knock the cones over while we were weaving thorugh..  Hopefully we get to go down to the bottom and ride our wheels....
The whole school went to the museum. We met Kim. She showed us where a room was, it was not even open to the public! We all thought it was awesome! At last it was lunch. We even got to sit outside at least ten meters over the ground! Kim had made a science hunt. We had to find mirrors,
magnets, even things with friction! But before that, Kim showed us a slingshot. She showed us science
investigations. My favorite one was what made the bag pop. After some time we gave Kim a huge
clap. Then we hopped on the bus and zoomed off. After some time we were at school and read a good
book.

We made plant pots out of newspaper. We needed instructions to make them. It was a bit tricky but
we got there in the end. First Mrs Laban put soil in the pots, then Mrs Odgers gave us seeds to put in  the pots.
Mrs Laban topped  it up with a bit of soil for the top. We put them in grey trays. There is
silver beet, broccoli and  cabbage. They have started growing.
First we got in the pool. It was a bit cold but we were all right. There were heaps of splashes and there were heaps off people in the pool to. It was great fun in the pool. After that we had a bbq there were heaps of yummy food like sausages, chocolate and strawberry drinks. It was really fun.  After that  we played at school for a while. It was such fun.  We were surrounded by heaps of people. It was so amazing.

sunsmart

Linda Buxton came to our school and talked about sunsmart and everyone got a good look at the animals and how they protect themselves from the sun.We made some bracelets. and went out to look at them. They changed colour because of the UV rays. We are now a SUNSMART school. How cool!
