Sarah and Danielle cooked them in sweet honey sauce with udon noodles. It was delicious. We served it to everyone,we even went for seconds, even thirds we could of had more but teachers had the rest.

Camp Sutton

In the last week of term 3 Room two went off to camp. Finding geckos was cool. Lifting up rocks to reveal the the rare nz gecko.Unfortunatly we had to hop into the van and head back to Camp Sutton for yummy juice and food.Maybe board games to.We also went on the Rail Trail from Daisy Bank to Hyde. At Hyde Cafe we all had a delicious hot chocolate to warm us up.What fun Camp Sutton was.

Pajama Party

The juniors had a mouth watering cheesy pizza and a delicious hot chocolate with melting marshmallows. After that they all payed board games and got toothpaste and toothbrushes they went home at 6:30pm they were there for 1 hour and a half. Mrs laban read them a story the room ones enjoyed it or should we say they just  loved it.

The Shade

Yeah we all got our new sunhat for summer. Perfect size for everyone. It was just in time for our sunny days when we need protection from the boiling hot sun. Thanks Ravensdown for the awesome sun hats we all look wonderful.

Pollution

Justin from the Dunedin City Council or the DCC came to our school to talk to us about pollution,  and saving our earth.
He talked about how we can prevent pollution from happening. One way we can prevent pollution is to put up fences around streams, creeks and rivers on farms. He also talked about saving rivers. We can prevent pollution by not cutting down trees right down to the edge of the river bank.
We all learned a lot about water and how it is polluted.

room1 yummy soup

Yesterday room 1 made stone soup and four of them peeled potatoes while the other room 1s weren't peeling potatoes, we coloured pots with most of the ingredients that we used, in the picture. Then we started to cut potatoes into thin bits. Then we started to cut celery into bits and put them into the pot. Then Mrs Odgers put it into the slow cooker and when it was cooked she put it into cups for everyone to drink. We also had yummy homemade bread that Richard baked for us. we shared everything with Room 2. YUM!

''We made amazing pillows!'' that looked great and they were  fun to make. All we had to do was tie two bits of fabric to each other and do that till all three sides were tied together. Then after you're done, you take the stuffing and put it into your pillow. When that's done, you tie the top up and then you can use fabric paints to colour in your pillow. Then you have an amazing looking pillow.

Southern Clam visit

We went to Southern Clams and got to try clams and clam chowder. Some people liked it  and some didn`t but we still tried it. But I guess that was the main point. Then we saw how they packed the clams and boxed them. We got to use  the stapler and staple the box.We watched them use the strapper. It had a sensor on it so you knew when you needed to move your hands. We got to go into the freezer. We could feel our clothes getting colder and colder. If we stayed in there any longer ,our clothes might have frozen. It was about -18 degrees and they said that when the fans are on it can get up to  -24 degrees. We had an  awesome time learning more about clams and how to wash and put them into a box. Now we know if we like them or not. We enjoyed going to Southen Clams and hope one day they might just invite us back.
